OK, I’ve fudged, missed yesterday’s prompt – apologies – on a 3-day solo cross-country drive, but when was that an excuse? (smile)

Here is your prompt:

A fitting day to visit a dying friend.

You needn’t use those words in a line, but that is the aboutness of whatever you’re writing. You must use: an extreme weather condition, a flat tire (whether or not you have a conveyance that uses tires), a salad-serving fork, and a peace symbol.

And, go.
