an initiative to wright past wrongs–or at least, omissions

This is an excellent way to begin bringing gender parity to playwrighting. And elegantly simple.

Teachers: commit to teaching at least one historical play by a woman, each semester.

The initiative is titled ONE PLAY AT A TIME, and they supply a list of plays to which you, teachers, can add, along with details of the program and a sample syllabus.

Many thanks to Gwydion Suilebhan for bringing it to my (and many others’) attention.
