In March 2013, while I was in New York for the Dramatists’ Guild reading of THE SECRET LIFE OF BIRDS, I attended the taping of a conversation sponsored by the League of Professional Theatre Women, of which I am a proud member. The conversation was with playwright Kia Corthron, with whose work I was (blushingly) not familiar: I am now.
And today, while doing research on another woman in theater, I came across the CUNY TV YouTube page, on which you can find that and many other recordings of conversations with women theater professionals. If nothing else, it provides education about what theater professionals actually do in their work. But it offers a great deal more than that.
Give it a squizz!
